Open Seminar to the Public: Maltese Environment and Urbanization: Quo Vadis? |

 A seminar is being hosted by the Collective at University regarding the Maltese environment and the modern phenomenon of urbanization. This seminar is being organized because it is of the utmost urgency to inform the people of the real situation which faces our natural environment. The mass media has failed to inform the public of the dangerous situation which our environment is facing. This seminar will give a holistic overview on this situation by some of the most professional agencies and academics who are involved in the environment. Astrid Vella from Federazzjoni Ambjent Ahjar and Matthew Gordimaina from Nature Trust Youths will discuss issues relating to the role of NGOs and the environment while Dr Simon Mercieca will give a historical overview of Malta's demographic and urban developments. The seminar will be chaired by a representative from the Collective and questions and interventions are to be allowed from anybody who will attend. |
