Funeral Procession: The Massacre of Art

Isn't it ironic that whilst Malta is supposed to be celebrating culture through the The Malta Arts Festival, art is still being censored? Some paintings by Aleksandar Stankovski have just been banned from being exhibited in the Gozo Arts Festival. Jasmina Kotevska, who arranged to have these paintings exhibited was told by the person organising the art exhibition that the paintings were banned after a report was filed to the Ministry of Gozo. Ir-Realta Issue 10 Out Now

The tenth issue of Ir-Realta' is out now and can be collected from Students House at the University of Malta. The newspaper will also soon be available at Island Books of Mosta. Those who would like to receive a copy by post must send an email to realta@inventati.org

Ir-Realta' is currently celebrating its fifth year since its inception. From a an unknown and small group of people, the Collective has developed into a group which boasts the support of hundreds of supporters and many talented contributors. The newspaper has matured with the years and the content is constantly getting better.

Now the Collective is in a comfortable position to look back and analyse its progress and develope its projects to achieve its aim in a more efficient manner which  has also been to create a critical voice in our society. 

At this point I would like to thank our readers who without them, the newspaper wouldn't even exist.

Ir-Realta' Collective Files Judicial Protest Against Rector Juanito Camilleri

We have today filed a judicial protest against the Rector, Juanito Camilleri, for destroying Ir-Realta' Issue 8 which was deposited at the University Student House and other places in the University. We are also demanding payments for the damages that have been done to our newspapers.
